MyPaarl Power provides utility battery storage, grid‑side ESS, PV plant co‑located storage, frequency regulation, and ancillary services for African utilities and IPPs.
The MyBeST programme, which opened in May, aims to install four battery assets, each with a capacity of 100MW/400MWh. These batteries are designed to store solar-generated electricity during the day and release it back into the grid during periods of higher power demand.
Most solar battery storage systems cost $10,000 on average, with most ranging between $6,000 and $12,000. Prices range from $400 for small units to over $20,000 for larger systems.
