MyPaarl Power provides utility battery storage, grid‑side ESS, PV plant co‑located storage, frequency regulation, and ancillary services for African utilities and IPPs.
With a standard size of 21mm in diameter and 70mm in length, these batteries were developed as a next-generation improvement over 18650 cells, offering increased power output, extended runtime, and higher energy density.
The deal includes the construction of two 50 MWp photovoltaic solar power plants, each paired with a 30 MW / 90 MWh battery storage system, to support the country's rural electrification goals and energy independence.
